Service Description
Join a local fisherman for a traditional squid fishing experience in the Aeolian Islands. Learn time-honored techniques at sea and enjoy a relaxed dinner on board, featuring the fresh catch prepared in true island style — an authentic, hands-on experience under the Mediterranean night sky. The activity includes: - Departure from the Port of Pignataro and navigation to the fishing grounds, approximately 30 minutes offshore, with the opportunity to admire a spectacular Aeolian sunset along the way - Introduction to traditional squid fishing techniques used by local fishermen. Demonstration and immersion of the richiamo, a traditional tool used to attract squid - Hands-on squid fishing experience, where each participant will have the chance to fish using the ontrato, a traditional Aeolian fishing device -An authentic onboard aperitif featuring local Aeolian products and freshly prepared pasta with the catch of the day, cooked and served by the captain
Cancellation Policy
To ensure the best experience for all guests and our local hosts, any reservation may be cancelled up to 48 hours before the scheduled experience with a full refund. Cancellations received less than 48 hours in advance are non‑refundable. In the event of exceptional circumstances, please contact us directly — while refunds cannot be guaranteed, we will always do our best to find a suitable solution. To operate this experience, a minimum of 4 participants is required. If the minimum number is not reached at least 48 hours before the start time, the experience may be cancelled, and all guests will receive a full refund. In case of adverse weather or other external circumstances, the Partner reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel the experience if its execution becomes unsafe, impractical, not feasible, or otherwise inappropriate. These measures are taken to ensure the safety and overall quality of the experience.
